Acquisition
Green Mining acquires the asset and takes over the operation.
Green Mining develops and applies a mineral processing route for tailings and low-grade deposits. The work began in 2011 and combines laboratory work, field validation and intermediate-scale operation.
Green Mining is a mineral technology company. It has developed a processing route that combines liberation of occluded metals, compact column flotation, selective chemistry and process control, configured for each material. On the gold route, the process does not use cyanide.
The technology applies on two fronts: tailings, material already extracted and deposited, and low-grade deposits, where lower capital and operating costs can make previously uneconomic areas viable.
Every project starts with material characterization. Technical and economic results are presented with assumptions, scope and limitations, for that material and under those conditions.
Start — development of the flotation route and of the work on liberating occluded metals.
Field validation — at a gold operation in South America, with academic participation from the University of British Columbia.
Intermediate scale — operation in Brazil for about 18 months, processing tailings continuously.
Reference laboratory — a unit in Brazil dedicated to material characterization and to developing chemistry by material type.
Projects — assessment of tailings and low-grade assets and development of projects with modular plants.
Laboratory, field and operation, over more than a decade.
The format is defined case by case, after the technical and economic assessment. Hybrid structures are possible.
Green Mining acquires the asset and takes over the operation.
Capital, risk and results shared with the asset owner, in a structure defined through joint due diligence.
Green Mining operates; the owner keeps title and receives a royalty.
Green Mining operates under a service contract; the owner keeps title and production.
Academic partnership since 2012, with participation in the field validation carried out at a gold operation in South America. The scope of the work is described in the technical documentation.
Independent laboratory audit, reference certificate GO2511449. Scope, date and audited samples are recorded in the technical documentation.
Patent granted on the system. Number, jurisdiction and coverage are provided in the technical documentation.
About the data on this sitePerformance figures depend on the material and on the conditions of each project. For that reason they are not presented as a public promise: they are part of technical material, with methodology and scope, available to qualified parties.
